This project was for an experimental Bank of America personal banking app. with the following parameters:
Design a mobile banking application with the minimum features:
• Authentication • Manage your checking account • View balance • Transaction history • Transfer between accounts • Mobile check deposit
I started this project by researching negative (<3 star) real customer/user reviews of BOA’s existing (live) app. I drafted a strategy and concept from reading through customer pain-points, improvement ideas, likes & dislikes, etc.:
User Strategy & Digital Concept Create an app that creates a customizable “one-stop-shop,” authenticated user experience that allows various integrations for all of the user’s financial accounts & assets, within BOA or not.
Solutions to existing customer dislikes or pain-points:
• Spending analysis/breakdown • Lock / unlock cards/accounts - lost, stolen, etc. • More detailed info about credit score • Easier to pay Credit Cards • Create a “TRAVELING” setting using geolocation to know when user is traveling to avoid card disablement. • Incorporate mortgage pay inside App (where mortgage) is owned and how amount affects monthly budget expenses
